Dhaka’s Korail slum is one of the most densely populated places on earth, home to tens of thousands displaced by climate change. That’s where we met Jahanara, who lost her family home to flooding decades ago. Just days before, we stood on the edge of the Padma River, which had swallowed yet another large stretch of land — along with the homes and shops that once stood there.
